Two account question (different chapters)
My son has played guild wars off and on since prophecies came out. I have always been into WoW but quit a few years ago. Recently I installed his copies of guild wars onto my laptop and really enjoyed the warrior I played. So when I saw guild wars platinum edition for 10 bucks and free shipping I grabbed it.
He has all chapters besides the new expansion and our goal is to run a new character I create through prophecies and play EotN together. I will get him EotN but was curious if my lack of Factions and Nightfall will prevent us from meeting up. I assume he can help me on my Prophecies quests / runs to cities and then we can do EotN together once he has his copy activated. Is that correct? Also a quick question about heroes. I see EotN has them so I figure I must make it to an EotN city and grab one there. Does anyone know how that works. I fooled around with a Nightfall character one night and they got the hero immediately. How does someone go from Prophecies to EotN and get a hero? Is there a level restriction, quest needed, etc.? |

Whatever common chapters you have, you'll be able to meet up in. (there are linking quests from chapter to chapter avaiable in the port cities of Kamadan [once you reach a certian point inthe story-line], LA, and kaineng center) For Eye of the North, there is a quest avalable in each chapter that will take you to the first outpost in EotN. (In Prophecies, the quest is available to level 10 - 20 characters in Lion's Arch, for example)
Gaining Heroes in EotN is done by following the three story arcs. I think you get a couple right off the bat, but it's been a while since I've ran a character through EotN. Last edited by Kook~NBK~; Sep 10, 2009 at 11:36 AM // 11:36.. |

It doesn't matter which or how many campaigns you have, you can always meet and make a party with people in campaigns you both have. In your case, if you both have prophecies and eotn, you can meet and help each other in those areas.
As far as heroes go, you get 2 heroes immediately when going to eotn and 1 more shortly after. The rest are obtained by doing (primary and secondary) quests. The list of heroes and which quests are needed to be done to get them is here. There is a level restriction on going to eotn. You have to be at least level 10 to journey to eotn. When you get there and you are still below level 20, you get a permanent effect on you that changes your attributes and stats such as energy and health to act like you are level 20. This only happens in eotn. Edit: beaten to the punch! |

Thanks for the replies! That is exactly what I needed to know. And Newegg has it for $9.99 and free shipping (comes via DHL / USPS).
